Some colorful organic
chemicals, specially those found in fruits and plants are
sensitive to pH. In other words they change color as pH changes.
This property will make it possible to use such chemicals as pH
indicators. |

In this project you will gather some fruits and vegetables and extract
their colorful chemicals. You will then test the effect of pH on your
samples to find out which can be used as a pH indicator.
