Balloon Race
(The Effect of Temperature on the Rate of Reaction)

Introduction:

The rate of most chemical reactions will increase in higher temperatures, however this is not true for many other chemicals. The best temperature for each chemical reaction needs to be researched. Excess heat in many cases can lower the rate of reaction or even reverse the reaction. In some other cases excess heat may result in a different product other than what is expected.

For gas producing reactions the rate of reaction may be observed and visually compared by the speed of balloon inflations

 Project description:
In this project you will select a simple gas producing chemical reaction and then study the effect of temperature on the rate of reaction. Use the results of your experiments to create a graph.
