Fire and Brimstone (Reactions of Sulfur)

Introduction:

Hell's Fire and Brimstone! Fire we know. We value its power and treat it with respect.  But what on earth is Brimstone?
Brimstone is a now obsolete word that for many years was a name for sulfur. Sulfur is one of the most abundant, most valuable, and most widely-used minerals in our Mineral Kingdom.

It is used extensively in many pharmaceuticals and we share in its curative powers. Sulfur is used in a wide variety of pesticides and fertilizers. It is a vital raw material in such industries as paper, plastics, paint and steel production. Huge quantities are used in the manufacture and processing of rubber and detergents. In this project we will study some of the chemical reactions of sulfur.

 Project description
Design and perform experiments to discover the reaction of sulfur and other elements  such as Iron and Zinc metals and oxygen gas. What conditions are best for such reactions?
