Determination of the Molar Volume of Carbon Dioxide |
|
|
|
Introduction:
In every chemical composition
and reaction there is a well established relation between the
amount of different ingredients. Such relationships can help us to
use a known value and calculate an unknown value. For example when
two substances react, you may use the molecular weight of one
substance to estimate or positively calculate the molecular weight
of the other substance. You may even use this method to identify
some unknown substances. |

Project
description:
The purpose of this project is to calculate the molar volume of carbon
dioxide gas. Since we know the molar mass of carbon dioxide, we can use
that value and calculate the molar volume of carbon dioxide. In this
project you design an experiment to make one mole carbon dioxide and
measure it's volume.
