Introduction:
| Bacteria, fungi and other
microorganisms are the main cause of most disease or other unpleasant symptoms.
We try to avoid such organisms by staying away from polluted or infected
places and by using personal hygiene products such as soaps, detergents
and antibacterial agents. Despite all our efforts, bacteria are present
almost everywhere, and some bacteria can make us sick.
In this project you will investigate to
find out how many different types of bacteria can be found around the
home.

Project
description:
The number of bacteria types can be determined by the shape of
bacteria under a microscope. Classifying the bacteria based on
their shape is called morphology. This project requires access to a
microscope with magnification of 400X or more. |
